about me

Hi, it’s Nick. I am a 26 year old graphic designer born and raised in Hawai’i on the island of O’ahu. Right before the start of the pandemic, I made the spontaneous decision to move to Oregon and I lived here ever since.
I received my Bachelors of Fine Arts from the University of Hawai’i at Mānoa in the spring of 2018. From 2019 to 2020 I worked for a foodservice and retail broker in Hawai’i called Rainbow Sales and Marketing as an in-house graphic designer.
From 2020 to 2021 I worked for a sign print shop and marketing hybrid company as graphic designer where I designed business cards, stickers, vehicle wraps, logos, signage, and various other products.
Here are a few of my other interests outside of design:
• I grew up playing sports, so as an adult, I try to keep up with my fitness by going to the gym 3-5 times a week.
• I’ve played the saxophone for 14 years, the flute for 8, piano for 10, and ukulele for 3.
• I got my first handheld gaming system when I was 4 years old, and I’ve been obsessed with video games ever since.
• I find inspiration from queer art like drag. I am a big fan of RuPaul’s Drag Race, and I attend drag shows regularly to support my fellow queer artists.
